Rick Brisbin is a patent attorney with extensive experience as a practicing engineer in the areas of electromagnetics, electro-optics, aerospace applications, composite materials, radar systems, communications, and service-oriented architectures. Rick's practice includes drafting patent applications in technology areas that include electrical, communications, optics, business methods, and Internet-related technologies.

Rick formerly worked as a Vice President with L-3 Communications Corporation, a global defense firm, with whom he served for nine years. Rick provided executive leadership of an organization responsible for the development of command & control solutions, communications architectures, and intelligence systems for the United States Department of Defense and Homeland Security.

Before joining L-3, Rick was an electrical engineer with the United States Navy where he served as a program manager of the Navy's Advanced Technology Development Program Office in which he guided the development and integration of advanced aircraft and missile stealth technologies. Rick was one of the lead designers on the Navy's F/A-18E/F Super Hornet fighter aircraft program in which he oversaw the development of the stealth and survivability features of the aircraft. Rick also served as a law clerk in the Navy's Office of General Counsel.
