Patent Preparation
* Conducting inventor interviews.
* Conducting patent harvesting sessions.
* Preparing patent applications from various forms of invention disclosure materials.
* Filing patent applications in the United States, as well as outside of the United States. We have established relationships with counsel in most foreign countries.
Patent Prosecution and Patent Reexamination/Reissue
* Prosecuting patent applications, including reissue and re-examination applications, in the United States, as well as applications outside of the United States.
* Preparing and filing appeal briefs with the United States Patent and Trademark Office Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences.
Portfolio Analysis and Patent Opinions
* Analyzing our clients’ patent portfolios and products, as well as our clients’ competitors’ patent portfolios and products.
* Preparing validity, enforceability, and freedom-to-operate opinions relating to various technologies in the electrical and mechanical areas. We work with our clients' personnel to identify information necessary to render quality opinions. Such quality opinions enable our clients to make informed business decisions related to intellectual property issues.
Patent Quality Support
* Reviewing other firms’ work product on behalf of our clients.
* Training in-house counsel to prepare and prosecute patent applications in accordance with the Firm’s uniform writing style.
